Professional activities and its areas, in which the graduates who’ve mastered the Specialist’s program (the graduates), can carry out professional activities: Education and Science (in the field of scientific research); Architecture, engineering, surveying, topography and design (in the field of design, construction, reconstruction and repair of transportation facilities); Construction and housing and communal services (in the field of engineering surveys and studies for the construction of transport facilities; in the field of design, construction and equipping of transport facilities and housing and communal services; in the field of technical operations, repair and reconstruction of buildings, structures, transportation facilities; in the sphere of production and use of building materials, products and structures. Transport. Graduates can carry out professional activities in other areas and (or) fields of professional activity, if their education level and the acquired competencies meet the employee’s requirements for the qualification.

As part of the development of the Specialty program, graduates are prepared to solve the tasks of professional activity of the following types:

  production and technological;

  organizational and managerial;

  design and survey and design engineering;

  research and development.

The list of the main objects (or field of knowledge) of graduates’ professional activity:

  railway track;

  track facilities;

  railways’ artificial structures (bridges, tunnels, culverts, intersections at different levels);

  subways and other transport infrastructure objects;

  methods and means of quality control of construction, reconstruction and repair works, and also the works performed at the current maintenance of the railway track and artificial structures;

  methods and technical means of monitoring the condition of the railway track and artificial structures.
